We recently sat down with Richard, Clinic Manager for Optical Express Southampton, who supports our patients and team through optical and refractive journeys – from initial consultation through to post-operative appointments. The versatility in our patients needs have provided him with diverse and comprehensive clinical experiences.
Passionate about optics after a few years in the industry, Richard found that he wanted to challenge himself by exploring the surgical side of eye care. When pursuing this aspiration, Optical Express was a natural fit. Richard finds the most fulfilling part of his role is to witness his patient’s smiles and amazement as they arrive for their 24 hour check-up liberated from glasses and contact lenses. He finds satisfaction in being a source of comfort and an encouraging ear for patients who are nervous about impending procedures.
