Our Optometrists meet and advise our patients every day which is why we are dedicated to their training and development. Training at Optical Express starts from day one with a detailed induction to the company and industry and this is followed by a structured on the job training programme.
As part of our commitment to professional development, Optical Express has pledged that every one of our Optometrists will be able to gain an IP qualification through our partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University. Fully funded by us, the course takes 12 months and after passing the final exam, Optometrists are able to prescribe medication to patients, allowing them to expand their role and give safe and convenient access to medication. We also offer CET events throughout the year and professional training days to make sure our Optometrists are always continuing to develop.
