We spoke to Catherine, optometrist at the new Optical Express consultation clinic in Hull, about her team’s recent move to new premises in the city
It’s fair to say that Catherine and her colleagues are pretty happy with their sparkling new clinic – the smiles say it all! “It’s certainly a different to our previous premises,” Catherine says. “Although our last clinic had all the state of the art technology that Optical Express is renowned for, it was based in an office block. That meant it could be difficult to find for people with appointments, which wasn’t ideal for them or for us.”
As part of the continued and ongoing investment in its clinics, and to ensure satisfaction across the entire patient journey, Optical Express decided that new premises were needed to properly reflect its status as the UK’s leading private provider of laser eye surgery and lens surgery.
Located on the periphery of the city centre in Anchor House in The Maltings in Hull, the clinic has easy access from the street for patients. It’s an area which features upmarket offices occupied by professional services providers like architects and accountants, as well as the head office of a well-known jewellery company. Catherine and the team feel the area is a much better reflection of the services Optical Express provides. She remarks, “The clinic is just a couple of minutes from the main shopping area in Hull, so it’s very accessible for our patients and, most importantly, it’s far easier for them to find.”
Has the team at Hull had any feedback from existing patients regarding the clinic’s move? Catherine grins. “We’ve had some very positive comments from them. They love the new clinic and they love the convenient location.”
And does Team Hull feel the same? “We’re delighted to be in such a modern and professional clinic,” says Catherine. “It certainly helps to build on the confidence that our patients already have in Optical Express, and we’re looking forward to seeing an increase in referrals from our patients to friends and family as a result of the move.”
