An exciting opportunity has become available for a Performance & Development Coach to join our team. A significant aspect of this role will involve optical skills training with colleagues across your region and as such a background in optics is essential. As a Performance & Development Coach, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering training programmes and learning initiatives that are aligned with the business goals
  • Act as a point of contact for colleagues & managers who have questions relating to training and development within your region and where appropriate the wider business
  • Work closely with operational management teams throughout your region to gain a full understanding of their needs, training requirements, and how these align with business priorities
  • Utilise the most appropriate learning strategy in relation to the needs of our colleagues & business which is aligned with the identified need, including e-learning, in person/virtual workshops, and coaching
  • Develop and maintain the quality of materials and resources available for our colleagues which enable and promote performance development
  • Continual assessment of performance within your region to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure all training delivered adheres to health and safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Develop productive and mutually beneficial relationships across all operational teams to support and promote individual and business performance

This role would suit optical managers and experienced optical assistants with a passion for developing people in addition to experienced learning and development professionals from an optical background. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting people with their learning and development. Experience within an optical retail environment is essential.

Performance and Development Coaches will be expected to be experienced in the following:

  • Supporting and Coaching colleagues and team members
  • Prioritising training & development needs in alignment with business requirements
  • Optical retail work
  • Confident in both written and verbal communication
  • Organisational and IT skills
